For women who want to be remembered…
Tim Allan – Haute Couture
Passionata is lucky enough to have many of Tim Allan's vintage couture gowns in-store, as well as sketches and miniature gowns, all of which are available to purchase.
Tim Allan was a notable New Zealand haute couture designer and made most of his garments between the late 1960's and the early 1990's. He spent a great part of his career in London and Melbourne, opening a boutique in Parnell in the late 1980’s. We have some of those clothes and amazing gowns from the early 90’s (see right for links to the collection) which are collectors’ items. Among Tim’s clients were Kiri Te Kanawa, Angela D’Audney and Hilary Timmins.
You can read his story in full here.
